'In this world, you must be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.'

Probably best known from the film version starring James Stewart, Harvey is a Pulitzer Prize winning play about Elwood P. Dowd, a mild-mannered but eccentric bachelor, who claims his best friend is a Pooka: an invisible 6 ft, 1 inch white rabbit.

Fearing that Elwood's eccentric behaviour is damaging the marriage prospects of her daughter Myrtle Mae, his social-climbing sister, Veta, decides to have him committed to a sanitorium to spare them both from future embarrassment. When they arrive at the sanitorium, however, a comedy of errors ensues: Elwood (and Harvey) have a strange effect on the staff, including the director and esteemed psychiatrist, Dr. Chumley, and his business partner, Dr. Sanderson.

Can a man and a giant white rabbit help everyone to see the world differently as well as find romance in the most unexpected places? Come along to the Bull Theatre and let us introduce you to a very dear friend of ours... HARVEY!
