"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man, in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."

Pride and Prejudice is the story of the five unmarried Bennet sisters and what happens when Mr Bingley, a single man of good fortune, moves into their neighbourhood, bringing with him his even richer but less agreeable friend. The proud Mr Darcy and the prejudiced Elizabeth Bennet soon clash and their spirited sparring and courtship become the focus of this witty drama of manners, money, marriage and love.
